SK Telecom has moved closer to making the "mobile wallet" a reality, enabling users to pay for public transportation fees and wire money to bank accounts using microchip-inserted mobile phones.
It will team up with the Hana credit card company to add card functions to the phones in October.
SK Telecom also recently ended their foray into the United States mobile market by selling their remaining stake in Virgin Mobile.
Korea’s smallest mobile phone operator is teaming up with Korea’s largest music portal on a new music service:
Currently, LGT’s MusicOn is the weakest of the three, both in content volume and in subscriber numbers.
